'Sunny Road' is an acrylic painting on canvas of size 12"x16".

This is a painting of a near desolate road on a lazy sunny afternoon in the suburbs of the Bangalore city. The sun was right overhead, as can be seen by the dark shadows cast underneath the bike riders.

Painting of 'Fly Over'

I really enjoyed doing this cityscape called 'Fly Over'. The beautiful curves of the Bannerughatta Flyover in Bangalore was very inspiring to me.

The vehicular traffic on this road is very interesting. The very bright afternoon sunshine was casting interesting shadows of the vehicles on the road.

Also, it was challenging to paint the silhouttes of the bike riders; as the bright sun had made their bodies almost transluscent!

Luv Bagh - 'en plein air' painting of Lal Bagh Bangalore

'Luv Bagh' was painted 'en plein air' at Lal Bagh - the famous park situated at the heart of the city of Bangalore. The 'en plein air' camp was organised by the Bangalore Art Forum.

The mood of love, peace and quite is captured in this painting. Time seems to stand still for these lovers.

'Gully cricket' is an acrylic painting on canvas; of size 12"x16".  This painting is framed.


About: 'Gully Cricket' was first exhibited at the 'Body Language' Solo exhibition at Chitra Kala Parishad - Bangalore in 2009.  Young boys playing cricket on the road-side is a common sight in India.  The heat of the sun above their heads at noon; does not seem to bother them in the least.

The evening sunlight lit up the leaves, and made them almost transluscent. It was a wonderful sight, and I could not wait to get home and paint it on a canvas.
